THE SILICONE FOUNDATION SPONGE
It’s been the hit of 2016 – so successful they are onto their ninth waiting list. Called the SiliSponge, it looks like a breast implant: a see-through patty of silicone inside flexible polyurethane. Due to its texture it doesn’t suck up foundation, highlighter or cream blush; you don’t use as much product and clean it simply by rinsing with soap and water. It’s cheap as at NZD$15, and you don’t even have to wait for it to dry, you just wash and go. For those who don’t want clear, the SiliSponge is soon available in neon colours. THE MAKEUP BRUSH BLAST CLEANER
Demand is also high on the StylPro Makeup Brush Cleaner and Dryer, currently only available to UK, European and American customers. Used by makeup professionals to clean and dry their brushes in just 30 seconds, you simply dunk them in the cleanser, press on and centrifugal force blasts the gunk out. Raise above the water line to spin dry and brushes are ready to go! The set will damage your wallet to the tune of 50 UK pounds.
THE HOME AIR BRUSHER
Until now, airbrush makeup machines were bulky, loud, hard to clean and hard to transport. Now Temptu has launched their first at-home airbrush-makeup machine, allowing women who aren’t makeup artists to achieve a flawless finish previously available only to the professionals. The Temptu Air is a cordless handheld airbrush-makeup device that is rechargeable in a computer or outlet with an USB port. Pull the trigger to apply a mist of foundation, blush, bronzer and highlighter. It’s simple and small, but almost USD$200. Find out more here: https://temptu.com/temptu-air
