Emma Raho reviews J.M.R Cocktail & Co
It’s currently school holidays and as much as I love having my two wee babes around, juggling work, their appointments and social lives makes for extra busy days. After the dishes have been done and they’ve been nagged into the shower it’s time for Netflix and some mummy juice.
A JMR pre-bottled cocktail is perfect for a few reasons. Firstly, it’s just the right size. I want to relax, not find myself absolutely off my face, sobbing Adele songs on the bathroom floor and hugging the toilet at 3am on Tuesday night. I also don’t want to be hungover the next day when I have to be an adult.
Secondly they are absolutely delicious. My first ever taste of alcohol was communion wine and I swore I would never drink. Fast forward to the present day and I can’t say I’ve stuck to that promise but I still don’t like the taste of strong alcoholic drinks. The JMR cocktails taste like dessert without being over sweet, thus why they’re in the small bottle because I could easily neck a litre of the espresso martini absolutely no worries, it’s that tasty.
Thirdly it’s so easy. I thought there was going to be a lot of faffing around with mixers, olives, and goodness knows what else but when my cousin and started to think it was time for drinkies we were pretty stoked to discover you just pour them over ice and go. Perfect for the end of the day when you’ve just had enough of doing stuff.
JMR gets bonus points for their cute packaging. The bottles are great as a present or to bring along to an event for fuss-free cocktail indulgence. I can’t wait to try the rest.
