I wouldn’t be back to NZ if I didn’t visit Pat Menzies. The iconic shoe shop is now two shops in Canterbury Arcade on Queen Street – an entire side dedicated to converse – and is still easily NZ’s best Dr. Marten’s store.
Currently they are having a massive sale, which is super rare, so I went in to not only catch up, but pick my 5 best picks. If you’re on the hunt for some cool winter shoes that won’t break the bank, here’s your chance.
Read on to find out my favourite sale picks:

1. Dr. Martens Iced 3 Eye Shoe in Cherry Red. $174.00
Funnily enough these were my first pair of docs! I managed to get a second hand pair at a flea market and wore then to DEATH. This colour is so classic and I was very surprised to find them on sale. Go get them now if you’ve ever thought about them, you will not regret it. Get them here.

3. Dr. Martens 8 EYE BOOT in Green. $192.
I love the classic Dr. Marten 8 eye. This boot goes with everything and I’m not sure that there is another shoe that’s so universally well known and iconic. this is a great colour if you’re wanting something that isn’t black, but still won’t be too eye-catching. Get them here.

4. Dr. Marten 8 EYE BOOT in Peppermint.
Speaking of of the 8 eye boot, if you are after some colour – check out the peppermint. Such a cute colour, and surprisingly for something so bright, works with most colour palettes. Get them here.

5. Converse PRO LEATHER LOW in White. $112.00.
There are SO many great Converse shoes on sale. I picked these ones because they are a classic sneaker that will go with everything. I’ve had 3-4 pairs of Converse all stars in my life, and they are always a fantastic sneaker. Get them here.
