Things We’re Lovin’ – FUDGE ME Fudge

by Anne-Marie Jones

I love fudge, and the lovely ladies at Fudge Me recently sent me a delicious big sampler to try – what a treat!

Fudge Me fudge works a little differently to other fudges. Run by two busy mums, you need to pre-order your fudge, and it gets sent out at the end of the month (pickup available too). They sell out quickly so don’t hesitate! Keep an eye on their social media/website for pre-orders, as the dates vary.

What I liked about the Big Sampler is I got to try 5 unique flavours of fudge. The pieces were very generous, but don’t worry, you don’t need to eat them all in one serving (you can try if you want, I’m not gonna judge!), as they can last 3-6 weeks if properly stored as per their instructions, or even 6 months in the freezer. I think the boxes make a great gift idea.

The fudge is very full of flavour without being sickly sweet, and a small slice goes a long way.

Russian fudge is a classic and this was the creamy, traditional flavour you expect. It had it’s name stamped on which I thought was a really cute touch too. This absolutely melts in your mouth!

Biscoff was a really interesting one! This reminded me of ginger slice. The flavour ‘biscoff’ comes from a type of biscuit and spread (made by a company called Lotus – it’s hard to find here but can be spotted at international food shops), with a caramel and warm spice flavour. It works really well as a fudge, and I’ve never heard of a Biscoff fudge before. I found it hard to choose one favourite but if I had to, this would be it!

S’mores flavour was another very creative idea, and this was my son’s favourite. Like a s’mores cookie (so good, you’ll be wanting some more), this has big pieces of marshmallow in it. Think of a softer version of rocky road but without nuts.

Choc Mint Slice is of course based on the popular biscuit, which is a new spin on a kiwi classic!

Black Forest tastes exactly like Cadbury’s chocolate of the same name, filled with delicious large pieces of cookie and ‘jelly’.

Black Forest is a very photogenic flavour!
There is so much going on, massive tasty bits of jelly and cookie, held together by delicious creamy fudge. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

As a fudge loving family who have tried many fudges, we found FudgeMe to offer something interesting, new, delicious and creative. The fudge was a great quality, and we love the textures like biscuit and marshmallow inside. An absolute winner!
