Max and Louie at Vegan Vibes

I am all about things that are Vegan and Cruelty Free. Vegan Vibes has been on my list of events to check out for years, though unfortunately, due to work commitments and/or Covid, I had never made it down to Tauranga - until this year.

I was looking forward to having a look at the stalls with New Zealand made arts and crafts, browse through the second hand clothing and eat my way through all the delicious vegan treats. But most of all, I was super excited to meet up with Nat from Max and Louie Beauty. You might recognise them as a Sans Pareil Online partner (because we really, really love them!).

I was first introduced to Nat through Robecca. We were gifted a few products to try out at the beginning of the year and I can honestly say that this has become my favourite make-up. All products are amazing! Beautiful and easy to use. They are all vegan and by purchasing them, you are also supporting a local business. What's not to love!

Truthfully, I am not a big make-up person. Sure, I love to get my make-up done by professionals for photoshoots or fashion shows, but I am useless at doing it myself. My morning routine consists of sun block, a light bb cream, eyebrow pencil and if I feel like it, I apply mascara. It's also pretty minimalistic when I go out, which doesn't happen very often these days. Having Max and Louie make-up makes getting ready a lot more fun! I just love the products and I am slowly working my way through them all. I actually look forward to doing my make-up now.

Nat and I had been talking online for a while, but we never met. I was looking forward to checking out her products and finally say 'hi' in person. Her stall was set up beautifully, her products and packaging are simple and elegant. No busy logo, not too many colours, just clean and beautiful. For someone like me, who has OCD, this is perfect. We chatted for a while and I purchased the "Melt me" cleansing balm. This is the latest product in her beauty range and it's probably the best make-up remover I have ever used. No stinging in your eyes. No panda eyes after a shower. I highly recommend it.
