C.J Harte’s Fab Five for April

C.J Harte’s Fab Five for April

ByadminApr 20, 2025

By C.J. Harte. 1) A good pair of cans.Noting slaps harder than a banger, apart from maybe a banger pumped out by a sweet pairof cans (headphones). The brand I have been rocking for the last couple of years areSoundcore. Yep, they are still going as strong as the day I bought them and are a goodcombination of sound quality and style. There are many cool headsets; they come in allshapes and sizes and have a vast range of sound quality. They also double as a great fashionaccessory. Also, earbuds are bad for your ears, too, kids. Two years ago, I was walking towork and saw my work crush walking across the park, and she had these cool hot pink canson. Yes, they were hot pink, but she combined them with her punk aesthetics, and it wasjust so cool that she melted my mind. I decided I had to go up to her and talk to her finally…and ask what band her headphones were in. When you are not wearing them, they sitaround your neck saying, I am serious about music and good sound quality. 2) Comme De GarconsWhat can I say? I am not even going to try to narrow it down. I like anything Comme de. Ioften joke that I own so much Comme De Garcons that I am Comme de Colin (yes, that is myreal first name – I just doxxed myself). I recently bought a new polo neck T-shirt and got acool black one. In my opinion, it’s much cooler than a polo Ralph Lauren one and on par withFred Perry’s level of alt cool. 3) Blue light-blocking glassesI got these mad blue-light-blocking glasses from Block Blue Light that make me look likesome badass manga character. I feel like I should be shooting zombies in them. Originally, Igot them so I could stay up late and doomscroll and still be able to drift off to sleepafterwards. Now I wear them to the office so my peepers don’t ache after a day of workingfor the man. Since then, I have slowly drifted to wearing them as a fashion accessory. It’s agreat way to look cool and be kind to your eyes while still being naughty with late-nighttech. In my opinion, self-care never looked so cool. 4) Baggy trousersWhat can I say? I am loving my Humphrey Bogart era. Baggy trousers have a real 1950s noirfeel that I can get past. They are super comfortable and look cool, draped over a pair of docsor chunky sneakers. I am over the moon to have moved on from my indie sleaze skinnyjeans days. Thank god my pins can breathe again. They are much happier to let loose fromtheir straitjacket! 5) Breda watchI used to think that watches were pointless, but now that we all have phones in our pocketstelling us the time 24/7, I was also skeptical of the everyday man’s watch that invariably alllook the same. Women’s watches have a greater range and variety, but they were not forme. A few years ago, I fell in love with Breda watches, and this year, I have taken the plungeand bought myself a lovely silver version of one of their flagship watches. They are relatively affordable and so sleek and avant-garde that I couldn’t resist. I feel like I am wearing abeautiful, big, chunky silver bangle that tells the time. What could be better? I have alwaysloved people who elegantly drip gold or silver. Now I got that silver drip.
