One thing that’s been getting me through lockdow

One thing that’s been getting me through lockdown is keeping a somewhat normal skincare routine. I’m using all @clearskincareclinics_nz products to clear up dark marks and even up my skintone. Not being able to go in for treatments has been a bit of a setback, but I’m still able to keep the dark marks away with this lightning cream. I love it.

It’s saying that in an epidemic that’s killed nearly 4 million globally, vaccine mandate isn’t taking away your rights. We owe it to the health of others, as well as ourselves, to get vaccinated. Please don’t spread misinformation, it’s dangerous. I can guarantee that a man yelling down the camera from his living room, hosted on an obscure website, does not know more than an Immunologist. Ok look, some of you need to read this. People have every right to get angry with you for not getting the vaccine. This is because by being perfectly able to and not getting it, you’re both compromising and relying on herd immunity. This puts the at risk, more at risk. Everyone who can’t get vaccinated because of health reasons. You’re putting at risk all the health care professionals who will have to look after you if you do get sick. You’re literally causing deaths. So yeah, people are pissed with you and they have every right to be. Lockdown isn’t a conspiracy. Your rights aren’t being taken away. It absolutely sucks and I wish I could go get a strong coffee and get my nails done right now, but my desire to do that isn’t more important than someone else’s life. They have the RIGHT to not die because we want our daily comforts back. Vaccines have been around for 100s of years. They are the reason we don’t have smallpox or polio. They are the reason life expectancy went up drastically from the time they were invented. The only thing that makes this vaccine different is that people on the internet can post anything they like. If you’re getting your information from YouTube, Facebook telegram or some obscure website - then it should not be trusted. There is a reason they have been pushed to the obscure corners of the internet. If you truly care enough to research it - then go to scientific journals and field experts. Look at how society fought the Spanish flu. Sitting in an echo-chamber with your friends, validating each other because none of you properly understand and then putting it on the internet is harmful. And honestly, it makes you look like a selfish fool. >END RANT<

We have more designers telling us what they’ve been up to during lockdown. @shibani__shetty the creative mastermind behind @tutlabyshibani is allll about the family time. And has some pretty cool ideas on things to do. ‘In our household ,lockdown is all about breakfast in bed, weekend long lunches, long walks, evening card sessions. Basically lots of family time. We have been doing a weekend ritual of randomly picking a country and cooking a meal from that country . And everyone in the family contributes in either cooking something or helping with the table setting and we put up a really nice lunch and sit around the table having fun and enjoying the meal.’ Full interview on website - link in the bio👆👆

One of my absolute favourite designers: Charles James. 1906-1978. He is best known for his ballgowns and highly structured aesthetic. James is one of the most influential fashion designers of the 20th century and continues to influence new generations of designers. 1- 1941 dinner dress 2- 1955 tree dress 3 - 1950 4 - 1937 pneumatic down quilted jacket (one of the first puffer jackets) 5- Millicent Rodgers wearing custom made CJ 6 - 1948 evening gown 7- 1938-40 dressing gown 8 - 1934 - evening dress (held at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London) 9 - 1950 - silk satin and taffeta evening dress 10 - 1955 - butterfly gown
