Kavita Patel is the creator and founder of sustainable artisan clothing brand, Xaura, which celebrates traditional Indian techniques, materials, and production methods. 

Growing up mesmerised by the beautiful artistry in her grandfather’s saree printing mill, Kavita wanted to showcase the beautiful skills of India on western garments after many family visits to India.  After many research and sourcing trips, Xaura was born in 2019, purely with an intention to showcase the harmonious balance of handmade, mindful production of slow-made, and give opportunities to makers from marginalized communities, namely giving women the opportunity to train and gain independence through work.
