It’s no secret that I am not a minimalist. I prefer lots of options, lots of texture and to be surrounded by comforts – do not EVER ask me to go backpacking. As one of my favourite online comics Poorly Drawn Lines once declared “Drown me in basic comforts.”
That’s why I was super stoked to be offered some ππ‘πππππππ₯π (RIMAN KOREA) Korean Skincare to try. I’ve never properly dived into the phenomenon that is Korean skincare – but I knew that it’s a lot of steps, the rest of the world was starting to catch on and the general reviews were AH-MA-ZING so sign me up.
My lovely consultant asked me what my problem areas were (combination skin with pigmentation and sun damage) and sent me four products to start with along with a guide.
- ACTIVE CLEAN UP POWDER
- VIETON OIL MIST
- CALMING BALANCE GEL
- AQUA PROTECTION SUN GEL
This is also the order to apply the regime. The Clean Up powder is amazing. At first, I needed to get use to using a powder face cleanser – but add water and lather into a foam – the more you lather the more paste is created, which can double as a facemask weekly. This stuff is beautiful. So incredibly soft, and according to the Incellderm website, is award winning. Features include: Hydrolysed Collagen which enhances skin elasticity and softness. Papain enzymes delivered in a creamy, rich foam soften, exfoliate, and gently release debris, promoting healthy, natural skin turnover to instantly reveal glowing, baby-soft skin.
The Oil Mist I also cannot stop raving about because it now comes with me everywhere. Feeling gross and muggy? Spray. Skin needs a little boost? Spray. In the sequence of things this goes on directly after the Clean Up Powder is wiped off to rejuvenate the skin.
Next is the Calming Balance Gel, which is another item I had to get used too. The gel looks like a type of cleaner, however once you put it on you leave it on like a moisturiser. i had to double check this a few times to make sure I was using it correctly, but after a was assured I was, I fell in love with this product too. My skin feels AMAZING after I use this, and a friend commented my skin was glowing.
Lastly is the Sun Gel, which is a sunscreen. Like the rest of NZ, I am very vigil about applying sunscreen to my face daily (If you’re not, girllllll what are you doing?! Get on that asap!) and this is another high-quality product. The SPF is nice and high a 45, and the gel itself is non-greasy.
I’ve been using this skin regime, religiously for a month now and am very happy with the results. Next I am told we are adding more steps to get rid of my pigmentation marks.
I might not be smiling but my skin sure is!
