Dame Pat McGrath is an absolute ICON of makeup! Originally starting in the fashion industry, she got her break into makeup creating a line of cosmetics for Armani, eventually starting her own brand in 2005. Pat McGrath has done some incredible looks for fashion shows over the years, as well as makeup for many celebrities.

John Galliano Fall/Winter 2007
Maison Margela Spring 2024 , porcelain dolls and glass skin!
We loved the recent Maison Margiela show, and Pat McGraths makeup was the perfect highlight, especially the much talked about ‘glass skin’ effect.
Fall 2010 Christian Dior
In collaboration with Orlando Pita, Pat created these makeup looks for a collection inspired by stable boys and the film ‘The Libertine’.
Christian Dior Fall 2011
Pat created the makeup looks for this romantic Parisian Autumn collection, including some of the face crystals she often works with as well as very bold eyes
Christian Dior Spring 2013
The crystal lip look got viral on social media, thanks to Pat McGrath and the Dior Spring 2013 collection! These shiny red lips were hand-embellished with small crystals. Pat McGrath’s makeup brand would later release a makeup kit so you can replicate the look yourself at home.

Crystal lips are cool and all but why not take it to the next level, like Pat did with the Crystal Face look?
Dior Spring 2004
The Dior Spring 2004 collection was inspired by John Galliano’s trip to Egypt, and Pat McGrath created makeup looks to celebrate the mystique and intrigue of both ancient and modern Egypt.
Taylor Swifts ‘Bejeweled’ Music Video
Something different for this list, not a runway show but a music video! Pat created all the makeup looks in Taylor Swifts video ‘Bejeweled’, as well as appearing as a character, Queen Pat. More than 1000 crystals were used in this shoot which featured Taylor Swift, the Haim sisters, Laura Dern, and Dita von Teese.
