Identity is the latest collection from Kiwi designer Rory Docherty. The designer drew upon his Scottish roots for the craftmanship and inspiration for this exquisite range.

I don’t say this lightly as I hate winter, but this beautiful collection makes me want to dress for colder weather and layer each of these stunning pieces. In a world where most fashion is fast, this collection has an everyday intention behind it. Each piece can be worn different ways, which inspires the owner to experiment with their own unique style. I haven’t seen such intentional dressing since, well, Prada.

Docherty’s signature versatility runs through every piece like a thread you can’t stop pulling. Hooded shapes invite you to wear them your way: pulled snugly over the head against the cold, or left to fall into scarves, cowls, and funnel necks across woven wool tunics, crisp pinstripe shirting, and crushed velvet snoods. The standout piece is a dramatic Harris Tweed aviator jacket that flips up and past the back of the head, cocooning the wearer in soft, fleecy grey sheepskin, functional dressing that feels nothing short of cinematic.
