It’s day two of Copenhagen Fashion Week. The day kicked off in the dark at 5.30am. The moving vans arrived with rails of garments, artworks, chairs.. you name it! All prepacked late the night before. The venue slowly flooded with sound engineers, PR teams, models, dressers, stylists and many more.
I joined at 8am, diving straight into model fittings. Over the previous few days models attended individual fittings where they tried on various garments and stylings. It’s a meticulous process, deciding the perfect pairing of garments, accessories and ensuring every detail aligns with the creative directors vision.
Once each model was finished with their hair and makeup there was a rush to perfect each model’s look, whether that includes the placement of a ring on the right finger or making sure tights don’t snag. Thankfully we only had one major wardrobe malfunction! The sewing kit came out and the team were on hand to get mending before the show started.
The venue was well curated to compliment the designs. The show featured artworks from Hungarian artist, Sári Ember. The exquisite ceramic sculptures and silk paintings complimented the collection by mimicking patterns and textures of Aeron’s garments.
After a few hours of fittings and meticulous venue organisation, the stage was set and guests began to flood into the venue. Once the show began there was a manic rush to get models ready for their next outfit. Some models would have only seconds to change before heading back onto the runway!
The show emerged as a huge success. The whole Aeron team did a fantastic job. Not to be overshadowed, Aeron’s collection of garments stood as a testament to the designer’s creativity and vision. forget the designer’s gorgeous collection of garments.
