Corona Diaries – Day 10 -The Backlash
By Gregg Kelly (Scotland)
The inevitable backlash of hate has reared its ugly head. Race hate crime against Asian communities has skyrocketed. What did China know, what did the US know, why didn’t the UK prepare for an unprecedented, deadly and once in a century pandemic? It’s all rather tragically and inevitably cliche’ but ultimately irrelevant.
While political factions and countries point the finger, and avoid the pointed finger in response, internationally innocent souls continue to die in their thousands. Frustratingly people continue to ignore the only golden rule for saving civilization, stay indoors.
Quick blame self-centered millennials, however upon closer inspection of dozens of news stories, (following the subsequent teeth- gnashing social media and public fury) reveals that the generation of people the country is actively and collectively trying to save, are the generation flaunting the laws of quarantine. Shop til you drop apparently.
US Government scientists predict anywhere between 100,000 and 240,000 deaths, while Trump boasts about his good, great Coronavirus briefing television ratings.
London as predicted is facing a biological and medical firestorm of epic proportions. The prognosis not good, the diagnosis worse. The cure? Unknown.
Sycophantic cretins try to garner enough support for a nationwide outpouring of appreciation toward Boris. While he lies in bed with a Lemsip and weighs up the cost to value ratio of 20,000 deaths under the pretense of herd immunity.
Spain weeps and bleeds, Italy struggles back to one knee. The UK braces for impact.

But wait, maybe those future blue Brexit Passports contain the cure?
In Boris we believe. In Brexit we trust.
