Like many fashion designers over this side of the world, we wait in anticipation for the fashion weeks up in the Northern Hemisphere. The most influential being New York, London, Milan and of course everyone's favourite, Paris.
I am currently watching the collections being shown in Milan and Paris and the standout collections for me are being shown by the new designers heading up the established fashion houses.
Designers like Adrian Appiolaza at Moschino, Stefano Gallici at Ann Demeulemeester and Julian Klausner at Dries Van Noten have demonstrated a flair for bringing their own vision to these well loved labels without jeopardising the essence of the house created by the original designers.
Moschino is often known for its quirky looks and one of my favourites this season is Adrian's combination of a tailored jacket paired with a lattice skirt.
With the mix of these beautiful prints, Julian has demonstrated here that he understands what Dries Van Noten is about.
(See further down for more Dries Van Noten).
Anne Demeulemeester has well established codes set down by the original designer. Stefano truly abides by those codes in this look maintaining the styles we know and love from this fashion house.
Another wonderful piece by Dries Van Noten!
