Paris Fashion Week : Viktor & Rolf Spring 2023

By Staff Writers

Viktor and Rolf took to the Paris runways this week with a collection that gives a modern take on ball gown couture They have described the designs as “evoking an abstract sense of surrealism.”, with gowns topsy turvy at all angles – including one completely worn upside down!

“It’s an absurd take on the stereotype of a couture ballgown,” said designer Rolf Snoeren. “Which we translated for the 21st century,” added Viktor Horsting. Snoeren continued: “It comes from a love of glamour [but] like our perfume, we want it to be beautiful and we also want it to have a clever idea”.

We definitely agree these unusual gowns are a clever and creative idea! These are some strange and uncertain times we have been living in lately and these gowns are a whimsical twist on the classic.
