As a ‘Woman of a Certain Age’ (48), I have always been curious about what non-invasive skincare treatments can do to improve my skin. I’ve yet to try Botox or other injectables, although I don’t have any qualms about one day giving them a go. However, I’m happy with my extensive skincare routine, and since partnering with Caci, I have experienced some of the most amazing facials and treatments that have delivered beautiful results.
As you will have seen in our recent reel, my wonderful Editor Robecca and I went to Caci Onehunga, and had a thorough skin analysis done. This was an opportunity to discuss our skin type, any areas that we wanted to see improved and go through our current skincare routines to see if there were any tweaks we could make to improve our results.
The professional team at the Caci Onehunga were so knowledgeable and experienced with all types and conditions of skin, the process was very informative and detailed. We both came away with a detailed plan, personalised just for us.
The team placed us both on one of their ReformaSkin memberships. This plan includes a vast array of non invasive treatments including: Microdermabrasion, LED Light Therapy, Hydradermabrasion, Microneedling, Sonophoresis Skin Infusion, Photo Rejuvenation, Fractional CO2 Laser Treatments and Blemish Bootcamp. As we progress through this experience I will explain each procedure in detail in individual articles, as it’s quite a lot to take in. Be assured, I am absolutely delighted with my progress after the 4 treatments I’ve had so far. I think I’ve emailed Lynn, the owner of the Onehunga Clinic, after every visit sending photos of the literal glow my skin has been radiating. It’s that fabulous. Their incredible Skinsmith’s range of products is also helping to keep my skin radiant in between treatments, and my next piece will be diving into their products and sharing how they work and which ones to choose for your skin needs.
Firstly though, I would like to introduce you to Lynn, the owner of Caci Onehunga. She’s an absolute legend and has had a career spanning many different endeavours and industries, which led her to where she is today. I had a few questions for her as I wanted to share her story as well as my experience of the process. So here we go!

1. I’d love to know how you got into the industry. Tell us a little about who you are, where you started and how you got to where you are now.
I had spent over two decades in the advertising industry both in media as well as an ad agency. For lifestyle reasons, I left and bought a niche commercial cleaning business. I grew the business customer base as well as adding on other niche technology cleaning services and an e-commerce site. On the side, I also worked remotely for a software company selling solutions. I decided to sell my businesses as the timing was right and had admired Caci as a brand. Not least of all because I had first-hand experience of being a Caci customer. When I was ready to buy another business I decided to get a Caci clinic. So, what does someone with a diverse background bring to Caci? In all the roles I have it's all about the customer, listening, working out a solution and then delivering to achieve their goals.
2. The services you provide at your Caci Clinic here in Onehunga are such a beautiful experience. As someone who has never had the spare funds to pamper myself before in this way, I now see that it’s more than just a skin treatment. It’s being cared for and nurtured for just a little while. How does it make you feel to know that you are helping (mostly) women to have a moment in their busy lives where it’s just about them?
I get to see people like you who come out of their treatment literally glowing. Above all, it's the wonderful smile people have on their face that absolutely confirms that we providing fabulous results. People have trust in us as a team to work with them on their skin health journey. We can help people with such a diverse range of skin treatments for their skin concerns and goals. We love putting together highly individualised plans for each customer and work together to make sure they are delivered. It's also great that we do have payment plans to help make it easier for everyone to access treatments.
3. What is your favourite treatment to have done? And what’s your second fave?
I absolutely love to have a skin infusion (Sonophoresis). I have a collagen-boosting serum that is so relaxing and hydrating. My second favourite is Photo Rejuvenation. It is great for targeting my pigmentation (as well as boosting collagen production.
4. You have an incredible range of skincare in your clinic. What are your ‘must haves’?
You're absolutely right. The range of products is huge. Our Skin Therapists have an absolute encyclopedic knowledge of the right products for home care regimes to complement the treatments carried out in clinic. If you were on a desert island and only could take one product - take the Skinsmiths Antioxidant Defence SPF30. I wish I had used a sunscreen much earlier in my life. The protection against our harsh sun is imperative to slow down the aging process. I also use the Gentle Cream Cleanser to remove my makeup and cleanse am and pm. The other thing is the Rebalancing Moisturiser, light yet effective.
5. For someone who is new to having treatments, and perhaps a bit nervous to know where to begin, what advice would you like them to know?
Call and make an appointment for a free consultation. That's how I started my Caci journey. Sometimes it can seem intimidating and a foreign world if you haven't been inside a clinic. Rest assured we are here to help find the best solution for your skin concerns. We are here to listen, work out a plan and then deliver. We care about you and provide regular check-ins and reviews.
6. Is there anything else you’d like to share?
People from all walks of life and ages are our wonderful customers at Caci Onehunga. It is our absolute pleasure to have them onboard.
As you can tell from Lynn’s story, this is a passion of hers. She’s a welcoming and caring woman and it’s a pleasure to be going through this wonderful experience with her and her team at Caci Onehunga. Up next, my first ever treatment and how I found it.
