This August 21 lockdown has taken New Zealand very much by surprise. One of the many things to grind to a holt was New Zealand Fashion Week, just days before it was due to commence.
Sans Pareil spoke to some of the designers meant to show, on what their life during this lockdown looks like. |
Thanks for keeping in touch with us during lockdown. How are you feeling?
I'm feeling good, currently relaxing on the couch with my furbaby Amber.
What is lockdown like for your household?
Like an endless sleepover in our house, all in all we're making the most out of this time!
What have you been up to?
Series marathons, eating my favorite snacks and the occasional dress ups for social media pics to keep engaged with our lovely following on social media.
Are you working from home? Why/ why not?
I am on a much slower pace, just enough to keep me sane and somewhat busy. Trying to use this time to actually rest after the busy few months I've had, however I've come to realise I may not know the meaning of rest!
What have you been doing for yourself during lockdown to relax and for self-care?
Looking after my skin now that I have more time, along with allowing myself to actually take breaks or a nap as i'm used to working over 12 hour days, just being at home right now and having a slower routine is self care in a strange way.
Do you have anything you would like to achieve during lockdown?
I'm slowly producing the new season collection in small runs for the store and creating a few one offs in the hopes to have a filled store after lockdown!
Have you got any recommendations for reading/ watching / listening to?
My go to things to watch are Rupauls Drag Race, Insecure or Sex in the City. As for podcasts, usually Bobo and Flex or The Business Of Fashion.
